VANGUARDS all the way...!!!

Everyone is busy with their lives these days,be it their academics, career, friends, family etc...Nobody has time for themselves as well!!! In this fast paced world everyone is trying hard to fight all odds and carve a niche for themselves and while doing this we have forgotten and left behind the society where people struggle to make ends meet. There are millions of unfortunate souls who are desperately fighting hard for their place in today's society and also those who've given up dreaming and aspiring. They too are a part of this beautiful world we are a part of and have equal rights to deserve what all of us do. If we want to do something we need to start right now cause a 'good start is half done'!
With the same motive an initiative was started by Gopal Bhargav ECE 4th year and his friends-VANGUARDS-Enriching Lives Enhancing Smiles. A student organization which reaches out to all those who are in need of help, support, love and affection.

Vanguards is a non-profit student initiative whose foresight is to give the orphans and the aged all the happiness, joy, bliss, smiles and most of all give them the hope to live life without any hassels and dissapointments, to encourage children to dream big and bring them a step closer in achieving their desired.
At Vanguards, the members have visited a few orphanages and centres for children and depending on the prevailing conditions, they have shorlisted a few orphanages for which they could seriously do their charity work. Among them is Gagilaapoor Govt. School at Dundigal, with students in need of urgent attention in academics. Basic school-life necessities, community development and career guidance is to be undertaken.
Another organization is Spoorthi Foundation at Cherlapalli which works for underpriviledged children where they provide them with food, shelter, clothing, education, medical care etc...Its an organisation which runs well, but is in need of expansion.
The other orphanage is Care and Love Orphanage which is in Jagadhgirigutta in Kukatpalli, and is in a very miserable condition. The orphanage has unhealthy surroundings and the interiors of the place are disastrous. There are no decent sanitation, sleeping or educational facilities.
Its sad to see these children,a part of the country's future, being robbed off their precious childhood. All we need to do is support this noble cause...We need to bring in the change...We should stand united and help these guys at Vanguards doing all their efforts to give those children a happy and a secure life.
The spirit of Vanguards lies in not giving up and fighting on till they succeed to the end...They strongly believe that their confidence, dedication and determination will help them achieve all their goals...as they are out there to make a small difference in those lives. We wish them all the best and promise that we students will give unconditional support to the children...and bring smiles and cheer in their lives... :) :)

Back from 'The tour'.

It was on 29th Sep, night that we realised that we had just been through the 10 most amazing days of our college life. We had an entire train compartment to ourselves and there was no lack of enthusiasm mixed with a feel of sadness. Loud cheers, hugs and goodbyes later, we left for our homes. Our Tour has just ended and Every damn bit of it rocked!! :)
Around 80 of us, Cse 3rd year had undertaken an industrial tour to Delhi, although we even had an extended iterenary covering Agra,Shimla,Kullu manali and Amritsar. Alighting the A.P Express in Agra on 21st, we were too tired to even think of what all was in store for us. Those 10 days turned out to be a whilrwind of bus journeys and short stints at hotels. The Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Lotus temple, parliament, Qutb minar, Golden temple, Wagah border and Rohtang Pass will all be remembered loud and clear by us, but still more cherished are our memories of sticking it out together and having a laugh at our situations. Morning ablutions at a gurudwara washroom, Eating dinner at the roadside before the Birla temple, scolding our jeep driver in telugu(coz he dint understand the language ;) ,dozing over each other in the bus and having embarassing pics taken during the same...these crazy acts'll always stay etched in our memories. There were those high-adrenaline moments when each person was at their freaky best...Rafting over white waters, horse riding of steep and narrow passages , throwing snowballs at each other even while we felt numb with cold and looking out the window to see clouds down below!!!
WOw!!Everything else seems petty when you are out there among those lofty mountains or picture-perfect landscapes.
We had our fair share of lows too. We had a bad day in Shimla, thanks to a shower of hailstones. But, the upside was that we helped each other out of it.
More is less if I had to talk about all of it. I must tell you one thing though...'If you get the chance to tour, then don't lose it ...even if it means that you havta take extra classes or beg every faculty down the line!!'
Cheers:)

Welcome Juniors!!!

Heyloaaaa juniors...!!! Swagatham to our IARE...!!! As the new academic year kicks off a new set of confused yet aspiring and talented bunch of people stepped into our college on the 24th to taste the different experiences B.Tech offers to one...The students showed mixed emotions...Some were happy, over excited and fun filled, whereas some were nervous and tensed about this whole new change in their course of academic life...The parents also seemed anxious and were worried about their children...I am becoming nostalgic...(i remember my first day at college...a pretty confused and a clumsy fresher i was...!!! :P ) The orientation program started off with the management guys and our principal welcoming the new batch...

After the programme the students were shown way to their respective branches and the faculty and staff guided them all the way in completing all the formalities...Later lunch was organised by the college authorities as a gesture of welcome...The parents and students toured our college for a while...(thanks to our college beach...a major attraction...!!!) Later there was a mini-project expo given by the ECE 2nd and 4th years...This was attented by all the ECE freshers and other students as well...The seniors showed excellent display of their talents and presented their work in a very organised way...Their hardwork and talent was appreciated by one and all...Hope that our juniors were inspired a little...!!! So wishing all the freshers a happy and a warm welcome to IARE...Hope you get all the success...Happy beginning and enjoy your much awaited college life...!!! Any help or suggestions are always welcomed...So folks rock on...!!! Be proud to be an IARE'ian...!!!

The other day i was pretty mad at their irresponsible behavior bcoz i was worried about how terribly everybody had scored that day...!!!just when we thought exams got over...here comes another lot...so keep giving these exams...!!!but then i still dont like the concept of online exams... :( something creative and innovative should be there...(i know i can talk on this topic for hours...!!!)Finally descriptives are over...that's a good thing...!!!we can take some time out for ourselves...!!!so guys have fun...relax...chill out...!!!grab a cuppa coffee...and sink into your sofa watching an all time favourite movie...!!!wow...!!!folks rock on...!!!

Online Exams...we hate it...

The internals have finally begun...and worst fears have come closer...all thanks to the JNTU guys for delivering the online papers in the computer coded script...most of the students had to face the problem of answering the questions in weird text...all they could do was to stare at their systems and watch the clock tick...but it was a nice experience for a few who tried out their luck factor...some scored really well by blindly selecting the options...and the others were found cursing their luck...!!!Now who is really to be blamed for all this...?

The officials have said that it was JNTU's fault as its an online test and they have to depend on the internet to carry out the scheduled exams...they say that there was some server problem...i mean such an established institute like JNTU should be aware of such things...we can't predict about the server connections...atleast we must have an alternative to sort out these issues...the students are affected in the end...there should be some solution for such unfortunate events...there should be some fair judgement...it was bizzare...anyways most of the people aren't really bothered because they say even if they were given the proper set of questions they would have scored the same...so in the end...its better to abolish this online exam system...instead it will be better if they include some project or assessment work...some interesting and challenging stuff which will put our mighty brains to work...!!!JNTU are you listening...??anyways folks...do your exams well...put in your best and sincere efforts...gud luck...!!!

11th Hour Updates...

With the college finally re-opening on Monday, here are tidbits of info abt the college...
The part of lake that came in our college has risen to a new level with more rains and there seems to be no way it can recede over the next few days...

The last step of the dias is just visible in the water and the fence which used to be around 4-5 feet high is just a feet visible now....and with so much water around the only sporting event tht can happen is Boat Racing as sumbody put it here....the water all around is what I wud call 'Breach of IARE Property"... Sporting tournaments this year may be conducted in the some other college campus as speculated if the water does not recede by then...so sport geeks dont worry...but do keep your fingers crossed as it is just speculated...

With the end of these holidays came an end to compensatory classes for the students of CSE IIIrd year as they all prepare for the tour later this month...The latest buzz doing round the campus is Shastra - 08 of IIT Chennai where an IAREian is supposed to perform this year as it celebrates it Golden Jubilee...

One thing I cannot miss in this post is the arrival of Ist sessional exams beginning from 9th and going on upto 14th (yea... even on Sunday) of this month.Almost all the notice boards got a new addition of Anti Ragging bills as MBA and MCA freshers began their classwork...B Tech freshers are scheduled to arrive on 24th of this month...

So guys with nothing much going on in the college these days(obviosly we arent there na...) I better end this thing now... Yea...All the best for your sessionals and keep rocking...

My First Day...

Stage is set!!Trumpets blown!!All seems to be just ready for the new batch of IAREians as they buckle up after 3 months of just lazing around(Their classwork is scheduled to begin sometime next month).

A reason ample for me to remember my first day in IARE.

Complete formals and pretty late(at 11:30) entered me in the campus 2 months before my counseling counterparts...After 2 hellish years of being cramped up in a Narayana/SriChaitanya lookalike...Anyway I came to the main block and after inquiring 4 about 10 mins found out that my class was (temporarily) supposed to be the one opposite Admin office.I stepped in to see a lecturer talking about Internals(the only word I heard in that lecture).A grin stretching from ear to ear welcomed me as lips moved to form the words asking me to get in and make myself "comfortable".He continued talking (God knows what)as I made myself "comfortable" or the exact opposite of it.I just sat through the time hardly listening to what was being said(a habit which made me live through most of the classes later that year). After that fortunate lecture we had an English class which had all sorts of communication skills being practiced(Even I got a chance to address the class...Smiles).Then came lunch n I just fooled around(looking 4 hideouts...for my debut bunk). We had no classes later that day(How I wish u could have days like this again) except a small intro session(which later became the daily routine and the only thing which was routine) b4 it being called a day.

College Happenings

Our very own IARE beach...!!!due to rains over the past few weeks...the water level of the so called lake next to our college has risen...and the water entered our campus...the ground is full of rainwater...its quite a breath taking sight from a distance...since its drying up the water level has kinda gone down...according to few folks who had been to college last week it was really amazing to see n they had a great time fooling around...the college is just about the same...the canteen has got nothing to offer as there is no student crowd to relish its "delicacies"...people still writing their suppplementaries...hope they have all written well...!!there was an orientation programme for MCA students...our principal was welcoming everyone with his own antics...(no offense...)The admin deparment is handing out memos...collect it guys...ECE 2nd years are attending xtra classes in order to finish their syllabus in time...they will be losing out on their classes after the holidays as their lecturers are accompanying their seniors on their tour...good souls...!!!Everyone is struggling and putting their sincere efforts in completing the assignments given to them...heavy workload...!!!I mean times are changing...even engineering students are becomming the normal "workaholics"...!!!The internals fever is on...!!!Starting from the 9th...and so less time to prepare...!!!Even if we are given all time in the world we will still not stop complaining...!!!so..thts the lateshhhhht buzz doing around our college...so guys study a lil' and enjoy max...keep the spirit of IARE on...!!!
