Canada calling!

A country, second only to Russia in size, but rather sidelined on the global platform-Canada.
With students looking beyond the USA for education opportunities, Canada is not far back in trying to woo enthusiasts for higher studies. Stressing the same, Visions Canada,an Immigration, education and settlement services organisation based in Canada, gave a one-hour seminar for the third year students. One, Uma Venkataraman-Director and immigration advisor threw light on the various basic issues such as 'Reasons to study in Canada'. The study costs are comparitively lower than those in the US and UK while Canada has been named one of the best places to live in the world by UN surveys. Students can also avail of work permits after completion of studies and the citizenship card is relatively easy to obtain.
These, and various other facts and figures pertaining to Canada were brought up. Visions Canada is all ready to lend a helping hand to interested students.

Up the sleeve...

Here...Are some of the things that are lined for the next few days in the campus...Leaving the results out of picture...We have many more things coming up before the semester ends...

To begin with the first information that is to be made available is that our principal Dr. V. Purna Chandra Rao is on leave these days with the HOD of the Electrical and Electronics Department Prof. Manikayala Rao sir as the Principal-incharge.Our Principal will be regularly visiting the campus, though, to sort out matters and take the M. Tech classes.

Next with the holidays...We are gonna have a holiday on 8th for Moharram and the holiday of second Saturday is scraped to compensate the holidays that begin from Monday and last till Wednesday as we all delve into the festive spirit with Sankranthi. So basically the college is gonna work for 2 days that is Friday and Saturday and then we have a full 4 day holiday to enjoy. The reason guessed being that many ppl go to their native places to celebrate and so to falicitate the matters...

Its raining student chapters this semester!!!After the successful inauguration of ISBCSI now is the turn of other branches. This Saturday we are gonna have a inauguration seminar of ITE, the student chapter for the people of Electronics and Communication Engineering department.

Next is a one day workshop of "Mechatronics", held by the Aero - Mechanical Division and ECE Department of our college. This is gonna be on 20th of January and a considerable number of scientists and high profile professors are roped in for the seminars. An exhibition by the sponsors is also scheduled.

Following this will be the annual technical festival of our college "Technofest - 2k9". This event is gonna be on 20th and 21st of February. The posters are all made out and sent out to different colleges for the participation. All the departments have a considerable number of topics to select from and so this is again gonna be a wonderful affair.

What is new is that a "Nature Camp" is being set up in our college.Thanx to a group of students from MLR Institute of Pharmacy. The issue was discussed with the Administrative Officer Mr. Raghav Sharma and he seems to be pretty pleased with the idea. Work on the Camp is gonna speed up after the Sankranthi break. If the initiative takes form than its gonna have a great internationally recognized impact on our Curriculum Vitae... Lets just wait and see what really turns out...

So friends have fun and make the best out of everything we have in here...

After all its our IARE!!!

Change...We see...

A lot has been happening...not jus in the coll but also in JNTU....A lot on tht front...JNTU has recently gone thru a change of Dean and that has brought in a lot of changes...good or bad...I leave tht to u...

To begin with the papers of the semester exams were not at all expected...(I gotto pass the buck)...Hope many of u agree with that and now after some mind boggling changes in the internals pattern(already mentioned in the blog)...there is more to come...The supplementary of the previous semesters are not gonna be held in the middle of the sem but may be after the 2nd semester or along with them...The question pattern has also a change this time...and a change we all dread...There are gonna be 8 questions as usual...And we gotta answer all the 8 each carrying 10 marks...There will be internal choice in each question though...

The best joke doing round the campus these days is "U know wht?? The results are comin tomorrow" And many do fall for it too..Giving the reason as "We gotta face them today than tomorrow" And the rest goes on...And now finally the results are out!!Just today 4th year got their results giving us the ultimatum to really face what we have been telling for days now..The 3rd years can expect their results to come out in a week and second years may be after a gap of same time...Wishing all the IAREians Best of luck!!

Remember frendz whatever happens, happens for a reason which in the long run will definitely turn out to be gud...

All the Best!!!

ISBCSI-The inauguration.

The new year brought in its first major event in the college with the IARE Student Branch of Computer Society of India being officially launched in the college.

The opening ceremony kick-started at about 10:45 a.m with the ritualistic prayer-song and lamp-lighting. The dignitaries gracing the occasion were Mr.P.Venkatesh Kumar,Chairman,CSI-Hyd and Mr.K.Raju,Vice-chairman.

They gave away the prizes(certificates) to the winners of the competitions held previously(Logo design,Essay writing and Sci-Fi story writing) after which were brief talks by them. They both assured the members of unrelenting support for genuine project ideas and promised to help interested students.Lectures by the principal,CSE and IT HoDs followed.
A project developed by a 2nd year student on software to record employee attendance was presented.A brief speech was then given by the president of the college chapter,Kunaal Naik where he aptly pointed out that it is the students who have to bring in life to any organisation rather than leaving the job to faculty. And the concluding vote of thanks made a major point- The chapter is with the help of students,by the students and for the students.
Summing up, the event pulled off smoothly with no hassles and the guests were all praises for the bubbling enthusiasm of the students.
Lets hope for the best in the future too.

Freshers day

Freshers Party!!! Well...Here's the post about the De Day for all the freshers...The day was 27th of Dec. Saturday...All the classwork was suspended for the day as the management gave way for the fun...It was last Wednesday that the notices came around officially announcing the Fresher's Day Celebration for this academic year...Dis was the second time that such notices were seen as once before the semester exams the party was scheduled as the management could give rest to the Anti Ragging Committee of the college but the idea was eventually dropped giving us ample time to read for our exams and give a great time to the juniors...Neway came around the notices and with them the excitement in the campus..."So what plans for freshers?" was the question heard in all the corners of the campus...Friday saw a very low turnout of attendance in the classes as all the seniors were busy(or they thought so) with either decorating or getting the things ready to start the decoration...That day saw many people staying in the campus till late to have the things set out right for the party the day...Then again the gates of the campus were thrown open as early as 0800 hrs with the seniors streaming in to make the final preparations...The campus had the sense of celebration in it and the wonderful climate added to the effect...The buses came pouring in at the usual time and then the things got the go ahead. All the branches were given separate rooms to celebrate so that the juniors and seniors get some time to interact with each other...The juniors turned out in their best clothes even though some branches had their dress code...The schedule was so sketched that the juniors interact with their direct seniors till afternoon and then turn out in Jukebox - the tents put up behind the canteen with a DJ spinning out some real gud dancing numbers as everyone got in the groove as dust rose with the rhythm of the beats...The juniors had a gud time watching the other face of the college as nothing of this sort had happened since their arrival...Well the day ended with all the seniors giving away the awards of Miss. Fresher and Mr. Fresher to the the best of the juniors..."Crackalacking"...Yea this was how juniors expressed their feelings for the day...Well guys now with the Annual Sports Tournaments coming up and the Annual Day lined we are gonna have a lot of gud time in the grounds of IARE...All the Best...
