Effort..

Ever heard the story of the giant ship engine that failed? The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.

Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars. "What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!" So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill." The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer - $ 2
Knowing where to tap - $ 9998

Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort and when to in your life makes all the difference. Time is very slow for those who wait, Very fast for those who are scared, Very long for those who lament, Very short for those who celebrate,
but for those who bond,
Time is Eternity...

A new building!

The college is getting a new look! I wouldn't say a face-lift of sorts, but nonetheless, infrastructure is being added.
A diploma block is coming up right in between the Aryabhatta and bharadwaj blocks. The entrance to the college has been shifted up front, near the boys cig-adda. So, tough luck guys. All in all this means you havto enter the college from behind! The road hasn't been laid out yet. Its all soggy and highly resembles a cow-track. I nearly slipped(i have a history there:P)
I really dont have a positive feeling about these changes. Instead of acquiring the surrounding land and opening up space, the new building would give a choked-up feel to the landscape. As though to make up for this, a few trees have been planted in the oddest of places. For eg. between the canteen road and the volleyball court.

I am not happy about these changes. Are you? Do leave your opinion in the comment section.
