RESURRECT - Blood Donation Camp

hiya!!
Guess u ppl got to know dat ders a blood donation camp being organised by d RESURRECT TEAM of ECE, in association vid d RED CROSS SOCIETY, in d campus on mon(d 10th of august).d donations of d camp vl b used by d red cross ppl for d blood transfusion treatment of thalasemia patients.

{hmm...many question marks......wondering wot thalassemia is?? wel, thalassemia is a genetic disorder,wer d body cannot generate blood on its own.So, children vid dis disease hav to undergo blood transfusion evry 3 wks thru out der lives, ryt 4m birth.If blood is not transfused den dey will develop other ailments. so, dats abt it.....,}

So d red cross ppl r gonna use dis blood 4 der treatment n dat 2 absolutly free f cost unlyk other blood banks. So all d gals n guys of iare, plz cum 4rwrd 2 donate blood(out of 5-6 ltrs f blood u hav, cnt u donate 350 ml?? common ya...).n do remembr dat by doin so ur saving a life, infact 2. :)

IARE - Website....

Alrite frendz... Heres something new... IARE is finally gonna have a site of its own and with pretty nice features. Mr. Srinivas from the Placement Cell is working on it... And it is planned to be launched this week... The address... Well lets wait for it to get launched... The website is designed in such a way that every student of the college will get an ID and Password as soon as the site is launched... All the details of the student are available online including the consolidated memo till date... The site also connects the faculty to the students for doubts clarification wherein the student needs to send the mail to the concerned faculty member and the faculty member can reply to the student via mail or personally... The main idea of the whole site is to remover the needs of notices int he college and everything that happens in the college is informed via mail or SMS... There is also gona be a forum for the students and the companies can contact students directly via the database uploaded on the website and this data will be kept on the site till the college exists... All the students once wen they complete the course they ll be placed in the Alumni Category and can still be a member of IARE Website... Plans are underway to put up as many video and audio lectures possible to make the site more educative... The site will also have information about any seminar that is gona be held in the campus and students themselves can set notices for giving a seminar on a particular date subject to HOD and Placement Officer approval. Students also have a feature of chatting and mailing anything from the site without going to other service providers... There is an option of giving Webinars rite from their homes. The whole concept lies in bringing information to the student rather the student going to the information. There is also an Social Networking Application present on the lines of Orkut. Achievers will be announced on the site as a banner on the very top of the site. We are relying on the intranet service in the college thru which all the information about just anything from attendance to the marks gets uploaded to the server in the Placement Cell and thereby to an External Server.. We will get all the information by the time we reach our homes.

Now the biggest of all.. This whole site was designed on the lines of Boston University and we are going for a tie up with Boston University and the whole process will be completed within 2 months... This will give us access to all the lectures given by the Boston University Lecturers via our website. The last thing.... Lets hope that our blog gets mentioned in the site as the blog of IARE.

I cant wait for the launch of this website... Especially after so many features getting mentioned.

Lets wait frendz... This Week...

History of Friendship Day

Well heres another post by a reader about the History of Friendship Day

well, first of all a very happpi frienddsheep day 2 all the
guys/gals .
there is no particular incident behind the formation of this day,the tradition of dedicating a day in honor of friends began in US in 1935.Gradually the festival gained popularity and today Friendship Day is celebrated in large number of countries. On this day people spend time with their friends and express love for them.. Exchange of Friendship Day Gifts like flowers, cards and wrist bands is a popular tradition of this occasion.
The United States Congress, in 1935, proclaimed the first Sunday of August as National Friendship Day. Since then, celebration of National Friendship Day became an annual event.
Following the popularity and success of Friendship Day in US, several other countries adopted the tradition of dedicating a day to friends. Today, Friendship Day is enthusiastically celebrated by several countries across the world. In 1997, the United Nations named Winnie the Pooh as the world's Ambassador of Friendship.
Many friends wish each other with exchange of gifts and cards on this day. "Friendshipbands" (.....uhhhhhhhh!!!) are very popular in India. With the advent of social networking sites, friendship day is also being celebrated online. The commercialization of the Friendship Day celebrations has led to some dismissing it as a "marketing gimmick".

FRIEND

Friend…..the word itself is enough to make a person feel at ease………..u can share anything with a friend be it a dark secret or the most embarrassing moment…….u won’t think twice before telling them anything…….they give you inspiration n cheer for u every moment in your life……..a smile on your face is enough for them to be all happy and laughing and a tear in your eye is enough for them to kill the reason………….they would accompany you to the end of the world and ask for nothing in return…….

A friend is someone who reaches out for your heart and touches your heart………and a person without friends is the poorest one of all………so friends treasure your friends as a gift from God………….

HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY TO ALL OF YOU!!!!!!^_^
