The things you most wanna forget.

While one batch of students have walked out of colleges armed with their degrees, another is just awaiting to begin their journey. Excitement is at its peak with competitive exams-preparation and results being on and about. EAMCET, AIEEE,BITS,VIT,IIT,NIFT... the list is endless with every possible alphabet in use! At this point, I can't but help remembering my pre-college, post-school time.

It was arguably the worst piece in my life. The complacency of school life was gone in a flash and I realised some serious stuff was going to start. I had taken a month short-term course in Eamcet and it was then that I knew why people can hate studying and why we hear of suicides prompted by poor results in exams. The pressure was on, quite tangible. You could feel it once you entered the coaching institute, sense its presence. During a maths class then, I remember staring at the board and the lecturer who was scribbling away to glory( this lecturer had a voice which made me want to scream : ). This guy spoke fast and wrote small and moved quick. That gets to you, really. After bearing hours of torturous lecture, I learned nothing whatsoever in that place, and I gave up.
And as if eamcet wasn't enough, there was BITS with a scary format of on-the-spot results. Nightmares best left forgotten ;)
After all those days of bottled-up spirit, you want to enjoy after the exams but then come the spoilers- results. Parents getting wide-eyed cause they realise all the cups of coffee they gave you during your night outs and all the extra love they showered on you because "You are working real hard, straining yourself", dindn't 'pay off'. Then, next day on, the petting stops and this is on until you land youself in a decent college.
So, after all the things we pushed through, we are here. Iare. More pushing through is what's needed! Luck to the incoming batch.
