Haunting Ghosts....

Today am gonna write abt the haunting ghosts of IARE... Its true tht we got some ghosts in the college these days... The ghosts of exams are back... Yes... The exams with the big E are back... Last couple of weeks have seen the pink glow of record covers in and around the campus and now the final exams are hanging on the heads of the students like a unsheathed, shining sword... From monday begins the 2nd internals for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students... which are gonna be followed by the lab externals and finally the semester exams which are scheduled to begin from 11th May... These exams will go on till the end of May and then the too gud, too studious students are again gonna sit for the Supplementary which are supposed to begin after a week of final exams... Datres are not yet released... Anyway guys i ll get back to you with as much info as I can sonn..

P.S: The construction of the block for Digital Library and the Auditorium is moving fast... I wonder if we are gonna have the competitions in this block next year....

P.S: The attendance percentage is supposedly reduced from 75% to 65% without condonation this year.. Hope its true!!

The Last Week...

Hello IARE... Hws it going?? M aftr a long time here.... Hope u all are not tht angry with me... Describin the last week as it went.. There was a hell lot of activities going on in the colg... And andraline ws at its zenith.... It ws a busy busy week...

We had some technical festivals in this week on 25th and 26th to be precise.... The departments of ECE, EEE and Mechanical had these fests organized and I must say it got a huge response rm all over... From the wild weasel to robo workshops to quizzes to drawing the hats and not to forget the short films.... those days were fun all the way.... Hope to see mre of them in the coming years....

Annual Day celebrations... Evrythng ws so gud dis time wid the event marking the 10th year celebrations of IARE.... The usual competitions wre a perfect reason for bunking classes... for participating if not just for organising them... and we saw a lot of activity in the sports section this year with almost evry sport being organized for the staff members as well... Kabaddi, Volleyball, cricket, shot put, evrythng ws there.... and m sure dis time the faculty members also had a lot of fun wid the students... and one competition tht ws included dis time ws cuking for the students... it had a lt of response and the participants made sme very nice, mouth watering dishes for the judges to eat... ofcourse organisers also ate a lot... then the usual dance practices... had a fun in tht practise sessions.... :P On the day... we had E. Saibaba Reddy as the cheif guest and Nerralla Venumadhav, the mimic as the guest of honour... We had a nice time with Venumadhav ji mimicking a lot of yesteryear leaders and some of the most famous dialogues from the film industry.... Aftr tht the logo for the 10th year celebrations was revealed... a simple 10th year luking quite sober and dignified... then the usual cultural day celebrations began... and as always no words as to hw mch the IARE'ians enjoyed tht day....

Cultural Fest.... Dis time we had Suzzanne from the A R Rahman troupe as the main artiste for the evening... U must knw Suzzanne for the Mahiya song... Neway she came frm Mumbai and gave us sme pretty gud numbers frm Bollywod and a english number as well....  But the audience out here ws waiting for a telugu number which didnt cme bt a promise came frm Suzzanne tht if invited again she wud pakka sing top 20 songs frm the telugu charts... We also had our college band performing who mainly stick to hindi songs wid jus 2 english numbers and also dedicated a song to Lateef... It ws nice... Next we had a ramp show with our colg guys and gals showing off the designs frm a sponsor... It went down welll... Then came a guy rm Loyola College with sme rocking numbers  like Jai Ho and a few punjabi numbers and a got louder response thn Suzzanne... Ppl were already dancing with him wen the Dj Angel came on... She ws gud and people enjoyed the mixes a lot....  What I lke d the most in this times Cultural Fest was variety and also the event management.. It ws superb... All in All frnds... We had a pretty nice time.... N hope tht IARE continues this even in coming years....

I ll get back with more wen i go to college....Sitting at hme nw due to curfew :(...

Til then.... Get ready with all ur forgotten weapons... The buks... Semesters are not far away.... Have fun... For the simple reason

I wrote this poem for a friend I lost. But I think whoever was a friend of Latif can reflect with this poem. Latif, may your soul rest in peace. We miss you.

Technofest - 2k10

Hello frnds.... Back after one of the most sought after events of the college annually.... Technofest - 2k10 after a mind blowing Technofest last year... Dis time it just seemed to be a ala ala event... There were just Paper presentations... And no Technical and non-Technical Events other than that... So this naturally gave way for less audience... But what tuk place was nice... I mean the guest lectures and the student presentations were nice... Now next in line are the events marked for 25th n 26th March.... There is a lot going to happen these two days... All the branches are keeping their Technical and Non technical events on these two days and the Annual Day and Cultural Fests are also going to be held somewher around... So March is gonna see the fun all rolled up!! Apart from this da interns are going to take place... Not much to say in tht regard...:P

Ok frnds... About the Placement Drives.. There was a company in the college last week... And a few students were also selectd frm the IT, Cse and MCA backgrounds..... And in the drive by Infosys that was held in the MLR Institute of Technology... Out of 36 students selected, 16 were from IARE... Now tht I think is a reason to rejoice....

Ok frnds... I will gt back with some more info ASAP...

Its our IARE....

Alumni Meet...

Yeah frendz... In line with the 10 year celebrations of IARE there was a Alumni Meet organised by the college on 20 Feb... Many old students turned up and there was lot of nostalgia seen around... And everyone had a good time.... There ws a meet which was addressed by the Principal.... And after the lunch there ws DJ Shiva wooing the crowds to the dance floor... Everyone had a great time but quite a lot of people were unhappy as the buses started even before the DJ went into the groove... We also had our college band playing for some time... In short it was quite successful...

And for the next coming events we have the Freshers Party that will be held on 22nd Feb Monday and then the Technofest 2010 on 24th n 25th of this month.... And dis time there are no spot events whatsoever... :( :( We are particularly disappointed by just the paper presentations for 2 days.... And then comes the Internal Exam... Scheduled to begin from 2nd Mar for 2nd and 4th years and 5th Mar for 3rd years... After that we have Cultural Fest where we will have Bombay Vikings coming over.... If the rumors are to be believed... And i guess thats it for now... I ll gt back wen more comes...

4th Feb....

This was the date of the most unfortunate of the days IARE has ever seen. On this day one of the most loved person frm the IARE family lost his life in a accident and another one was so badly injured that hes in coma evn today... We all pray for the soul of Lateef to find peace and that Abhilash recovers as fast as he can.... :(

Happy Republic Day

Frnds... Happy Republic Day.... It ws on 15th of August tht we gt freedom bt it z 2day tht we stood up on our legs literally... And began the journey tht marked as the future leaders of the world... n tht z da journey we are still following... During this we journey we have had our ups and downs but nevertheless continued... And nw the country needs u nt jus in the ranks of soldiers on the border bt soldiers in the daily life as well... Praising all the gud things and speaking up abt the bad ones... We can be on our own guard... So make sure tht we respond to the call of the nation... Happy Republic Day once again....

Newsletter!!.

Hello IARE'ians... The college is going gaga these days with the talks that the management has asked each of the department to make their newsletters.... I wonder if this is going to be a annual event or we are doing it just cos thios is da 10th year of IARE... Whatevr is da reason but m happy tht sumthing is happening.... The final years were finally done wid the blessed xam of their aftr a moonth of gap... The supplis strted on 19th but were conducted just for 1 day and then came Telangana Bandhs again... Students with backs are seriously enjoying... College these days is all dust, thnx to the construction works going on in the full swing for the new block... The annual technical fest Technofest is gain in the discussions with the organizers already discussing it... N yea the talk of Cultural Fest is again on the cards.... Lets jus wait n see... N hope for the best... guys hw did i forget the Frankie stall n the temporary pizza van??? Yes the colg is boasting of these things in the campus jus beside the Coffee Stall.... Mah HOD has told us to realize the Astronautical and Aeronautical Chapters in the college... Thrs going to be sum inspection in the college this week... Guess its ISO ppl... lets jus c anyway... The sports rooms are wearing a rushed environment as the college annual sporting tournaments will begn soon and evn the volleyball courts luk much clean these days... The college has permanently shifted the entrance from behind and a gate was evn fixed in tht place... The main ws block is given a entrance frm tht side also bt most of the time its blocked wid bamboos and tin sheets... Dunno why tht happens.... Results - the rumour mill is again in action with the most favy topic of the students - Results... They are supposed to be released this week.. this again is a rumour... the interns for this sem are scheduled to begin frm 8th Feb...

P.S: WWF - India is organising a nature camp at Papikonda Wildlife Sanctuary for a period of 3 days... Activities and fun events which help us understand nature will be taken up... A team frm WWF will be with the visitors for the full time period... All this is at a nominal price of  Rs 3200/- per head which includes accommodation, food and transportation charges.... This counts unde the NSS activity of the university and so there will be no problem o the attendance... Any body interested can contact Mr. Athfan on 9885532683

Finally....

Ok... Here is college opening after 2 long week of boredom to the students... And we are taking it all... Rite frm the morning the Nescafe Stall saw a hell of a rush and da canteen got back its sheen... We are enjoying every minute of being in college... Da entrance ws again chnged... And now we gota get in frm the rear side of the college.. Rem the narrow opening beside the Nescafe stall ... Its frm there tht we got in and the buses were in the campus of Marri Laxman Reddy Colg... OK so far so gud... With the New Year starting the college came up with the new calender which I must say is a bit better in Design when compared to its ancestors... The classes are going on in full swing so as to complete the syllabus in time for Internals... And it is even heard tht 10 more days of these bandhs and holidays and we are gonna miss out a whole semester... It will be canceled it seemz... We jus hope that something of that sort doesn't happen... Till da next post I hope nothing untoward happens...

Hi

I'm Sid from Aero 1A. This is a poem I wrote.

Serenely I sit.
The writer’s mind wanders off.
Searches for the answers, the answers I know not.
Calm breeze which I think helps.
My dreams to take shape.
The dreams and thoughts
Which I so fondly write.
The thoughts of a lone mind,
Which struggles to find the answers,
To the questions lain before.
Desperately, frantically I search,
Through the years of knowledge.
For the answers, the answers which can change my LIFE.
Now my mind wishes I knew the
Answers beforehand, for then there would be no
Struggle!!!
For two hours I search.
Then I realize, futile were my efforts.
I have to give in my paper.

I was writing my internals when I was inspired to write this poem. I was looking around during the exam and there was this guy who was doing all he could to get the answers. It inspired me to write this. Hope you all liked it.

Flip Flop...

Hello IARE'ians... thnx to the political situation the state.. Evryone out here is acting as politicos... The college has done a great flip flop 2day... It ws 1st mentioned on the college website that the college will reopen on 4th that is tommrow... But now a hasty decision has been taken to declare tommoro and day aftr a holiday again... So again back to the square one... We have college from 6th.. Any new updates wil be given ASAP...
