"You 'll get your attendance".

Why are there students crowding around the principal ,with pleading eyes and fat pockets, following him around everywhere he goes? -"Attendance, sir"!
The month before exams is the time when everybody is chanting 'Attendance'!
There are a few handful of students with 90+ percent -the most sincere lot(They must be sponsoring dettol if you ask me ;) ) . You could call them the Queers!
Next come the 80+ holders. They know the 'art of bunking' and at the same time avoid being placed in the not-so-pleasing previous category. Let's call them seers,with abilities to forecast and predict!
The 70-80 range is where most of our attendances fall. It is unanimously the most happening percent! Students in this category are always calculating the number of days which are 'bunk-able'! ;) .This is the most challenging job because 75 being the cut-off percent, everyone tries to push it up to a point or more above 75. They are the peers ,common people, you and me!
The last category is the 70- . The lesser said ,the better! Their attendance speaks for them! ;)
You find them in the library(read canteen), on the roads, in hospitals, at home, near the college gate and most importantly- our dear Cineplanet ! Now, will it be fair enough if i used the word beer and cheers for them? ;)

Having talked about the categories, lets move on to the deeper politics involved.
If you want attendance, close your eyes and tell yourself -"I am the teacher's pet".Then open your eyes and work towards being one! Guys-trust me, if the lecturer has a good impression on you i.e. if you put on the most freakishly sincere face in the class and be smart enough to shake your head ( as if saying, 'Oh yeah, I get it') - then your attendance is taken care of! All your friends( partners in crime) will be left to guessing.
So, dear fellow students, don't brood over attendance, just get smart and follow these tips
- Be convincingly good.
-Keep a check on your bunk:class ratio ;)
-Come back to class atleast a minute before the bell rings and Demand attendance :P
-Participate in all poosible extra-curricular activities such as sports, annual day, technofest etc...
-If you haven't been thoughful enough, keep your money ready.
-Oh yeah, I was almost forgetting....most importantly for attendance-you should actually attend classes.(once in a while!)
